Judo Athlete Supported by Vedanta Aluminium Shines at National Para Judo Championship

Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], March 10: Being supported by Vedanta Aluminium, para judo athlete Mohan Sahu from Odisha’s tribal-dominated Kalahandi district clinched two bronze medals at the 13th National Para Judo Championship 2025 while representing the state.

Blessed as a talented athlete, Mohan demonstrated his prowess in the Junior JI (66 kg) and Senior JI (64 kg) categories.

He is now preparing to represent India at the prestigious Asian Para Judo Championship 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

In his reactions, an elated Mohan Sahu said, “I’m immensely grateful to Vedanta Aluminium for their support that has given me the confidence to compete at the highest levels. Their encouragement and assistance have been invaluable in my journey as a para athlete. I’ll strive to make my country and supporters proud.”

With the resources he needed, a fully-equipped Mohan Sahu competed alongside India’s top para athletes to showcase his potential and perform his best.

Also need to be mentioned that, Vedanta Aluminium has previously supported two Kabaddi players from Odisha’s another tribal-dominated Rayagada district when the duo represented India at the International Kabaddi Tournament in Nepal.
